Diagram as code orientation

When using diagram as code approach, it focuses on showing "left-to-right" orientation and in some cases we like to create a hierarchy of resources for some cases. It would be nice to define the orientation for "top-to-bottom" as well.

You can now use statements like

direction up

direction left

to determine the direction / orientation of a diagram.

This is a great point. This is something that is fairly common in other diagramming DSLs and we'd want to support it.
